Collaborative Workplace: The personal control center
The CANIAS ERP Collaborative Workplace can be
customized according to user requirements and organized
as a launch pad for daily tasks and activities. In addition
to the access to ERP functionality, the summary screen
provides groupware features and can be configured to
display all critical information and data, either from the
Internet (e.g. forex and stock exchange rates, weather
reports), external software or from the CANIAS ERP
system itself (e.g. corporate financial data and
reports).
E-mail client: integrated cmmunication
The integrated e-mail client provides advanced features
such as associating e-mail messages with customers,
suppliers and other entities, either automatically or
manually, based on specified criteria. The Collaborator
module also archives e-mails which can then be tracked
by the CRM module on a per-customer basis. E-mails can
also be linked to processes, projects and documents.
Agenda : Time management under control
The Agenda feature of the Collaborator module enables
users to schedule appointments and plan activities in
advance. It displays each user's individual calendar, as
well as an overview of all user activities in the company.
Users may interactively navigate through their calendars,
and calendar entries can be moved or allocated to other users by means of drag and drop functionality. The
displays indicate start and end dates, as well as details of
the activity in question. All activities may be associated
with e-mail addresses, employees or other organizational
resources, such as meeting rooms, projection devices, or
transportation pool vehicles.
Task Manager: Combining efficiency with convenience
The integrated Task Manager collects and sorts all
activities and appointments allocated to a user. Double
clicking on a task allows user to automatically start
transaction associated with that task. Completed tasks
can be marked as such, and are then removed from the
inbox. Multiple colors for icons allow tasks and deadlines
to be differentiated easily. The CANIAS ERP system and
the Collaborator module operate using the same
database and both access the same address book.
Unlimited number of links can be shown on the Task
Manager summary page. The associated data is displayed
when user clicks on a link. Links may be associated
with ERP system data and features, as well as with Web
addresses. Additionally, the Collaborator module includes
the capability for instant messaging among CANIAS ERP
system users. Users logged on to the system are
highlighted and can be contacted immediately through
instant messaging. Incoming instant messages are
displayed using a pop-up window.

suppliers, partners and corporate staff, as well as the ability to integrate business process information with
