The TROIA tool, the system's IDE (Integrated
Development Environment), is included standard as
part of the base system, and empower our customers

CANIAS ERP is fully object-oriented, allowing
modifications to be preserved after system version
updates. Due to its inheritance functionality, modifications are not applied to the base system code
but instead to objects derived from the base code.
The dynamic orientation system within the TROIA tool
allows newly created classes and dialogues to be used
without change to existing classes and dialogues. This
protects the base code while enabling
organization-specific changes.
In addition to the standard programming features
offered by modern development tools, TROIA provides
extended features such as graphics and design
functionality, report and layout wizards, direct
database access, diagramming functions, tree
structures, and diagram displays.
Since the development environment is integrated with
the database, development can take place at runtime
and the time-consuming compile and link cycles are
eliminated.
Thanks to its Java interpreter, the TROIA code is
interpreted at runtime, which dramatically improves
development schedules.

Customer, vendors and materials data are
considered to be compulsory data that is essential
to nearly all businesses and is therefore located
within the base system.
Other related master data such as BOMs (Bill of
Materials) and routing data depend more on the
company's activities (production or commerce) and
are therefore included in system extensions.
As the CANIAS ERP system is multi-client capable,
all master data is keyed by company, factory and business unit codes, in order to provide a clear
separation among configured clients.
Processes can be controlled through master data
management using manually set up and event-driven
workflows, so that the relevant data entries can be
performed by user authorizations and tasks. At the
same time, the central administration of master data
is also possible. The address book allows for
convenient administration of user accounts.
Both business and private information about contacts
can be recorded, as well as any number of e-mail
addresses. Furthermore, description and details
about contacts can be entered by long text, and
an image file for the contact can also be stored.
All dialogs in your preferred language
The CANIAS ERP system can be used in different
languages across all modules and processes. In
addition to the languages available in the standard
system, an integrated translation tool allows
for rapid and individual translation of all user
dialogs. This may be accomplished in one of two
ways: through the modification of a table containing
the data for all dialogs within the system, or by
direct modification of the application for the single
dialog in question.
Due to the flexible configuration of the system,
repeated modifications of identical field labels in
multiple dialogs are avoided. In addition to the dialog
translation capability, it is also possible to generate
reports and receipts in the CANIAS ERP system using different languages.
The integrated receipt generator and the system
language control allow for process-driven and
automatically linked specific-language receipts,
based on the language of the recipient into
consideration.
