Organizing work places, schedules and processes for streamlined production
Efficient preparation leading to enhanced productivity
The CANIAS ERP Routing Module, in conjunction with
the Bill of Materials Management Module, precisely
enumerates various production stages in an entire
production process and provides an ideal platform for
production planning and control. Efficient production
planning ensures that all relevant work processes are
carried out in an orderly manner using right
equipment, incurring estimated times and utilizing
targeted work stations. This requires capturing the
production flow throughout four key areas material,
labour, subcontracting and other overheads. The
CANIAS ERP Routing module helps you to accomplish
this.
Correct routing ensures high product quality
The CANIAS ERP Routing Module offers excellent
features for production order management, capacity
planning, cost calculation and process control. The
advanced integration capabilities for production
and process control make routing an absolutely
essential module within the CANIAS ERP system.
Availability of the required parameters, quick and easy
data entry, and consistent data storage are all made
possible due to the use of check tables in the system.
Use of multiple route categories (standard, alternative
and variable) enable process optimization and easy
update of route information.
The CANIAS ERP Routing Module guarantees that
product trees (BOM) accurately link with production
plans and that defined attributes and associated
resource tools match the production steps. Durations
assigned for primary and secondary activity types are
used to form draft outline for capacity planning. Several
production attributes can be entered and maintained,
including operation details, work centers, operation
durations, specialized activity types, cost data, tools, die
data, materials usage, production management and
quality assurance data, resulting in
precise planning capabilities.
Capacities and costs under control
Production planning also provides for organization and
administration of work centers. Work centers are where
operations are performed, for which equipment and personnel data can be specified, indicating associated
capacity of that work center.
