The CANIAS Production Planning and Control Module delivers advanced features to facilitate efficient implementation and control. Features such as lead time scheduling, component availability, capacity checks, and standard costing are available to ensure uninterrupted production operations. The CANIAS ERP PPC module meets and exceeds expectations for production requirements for all production types. All established processes for different lines of production such as unique production, production to order, batch production, custom manufacturing, and joint production can be planned and controlled.

CANIAS PPC enables user to utilize planning methodology (forward, backward, middle tabulations) that is best suited to meet their required delivery schedule. However, changing market conditions demand that these standard methodologies are no longer sufficient for calculation and optimization of the processing time.

Therefore CANIAS PPC integrates a control center that presents graphically supported planning methodologies derived from the supply chain. Freely configurable planning algorithms permit an even more detailed production optimization based on the planning strategy.

Criteria used for production planning algorithms include; shortest transaction time, earliest delivery time, setup costs optimization, best possible machine efficiency etc (see Capacity Planning Module).

Production Planning and Control Module

Knowing your production status in advance

All data relevant to production (planned orders, and production orders) are transferred to the PPC module through Requirements Planning. A graphical production network plan consisting of all production steps, generated from product trees (BOM) and routes, dynamically displays the current stage of jobs. An integrated production data acquisition system guarantees advanced calculation ability (for current and successive periods).

The various functions such as the formation of all work orders, aggregate and variable productions, product tree variances, variable work plans, and preparation of all production documents, are standard features supplied by the module. Data collected from a work plan and a product tree during execution of work orders can be changed on work order-basis at the time of production.

Consistent integration of batch and serial number guarantees tracking of used components even in multi-level vertical integration. The PPC module also offers quality assurance procedures in production, where work phases and product tree components that require quality assurance are recorded, along with quality control data, and are then linked to relevant inspection plans. If quality control results are within expected ranges, the production will be continued to next production step. Quality control instructions are provided from the document management system integrated with the PPC module.
