Reliable maintenance planning on a daily basis
Daily inspections for equipment are defined with short
descriptions and reviewed using lists. Metrics obtained
through inspections are input back into the system, and
when required, reports can be generated on the results.
Metrics can be both measurable and non-measurable
values. For breakdowns detected during inspections, a form
is generated to report the breakdown.
Reliable features to ensure equipment
upkeep
The CANIAS ERP Maintenance Module is fully integrated
thereby providing for balanced and effective functioning of
the entire system. Spare parts and maintenance materials
can be defined using the BOM Management module while
maintenance operations can be defined using the Routing
module. A separate history card is maintained for each
piece of equipment which allows planning for critical
components required during scheduled maintenance
activities, as well as planning for spare parts and other
requirements related to the equipment.
In order to arrange for periodic maintenance activities, the
equipment utilization chart for the equipment in question
will be marked as "in use" in accordance with the reduction
in capacity that will take effect. In case of deviations from
the dates for the scheduled maintenance activities, usable
capacity of the equipment can be reconfigured. Maintenance
costs are directly distributed to production centers. Once maintenance and repair activities are
completed, quality control checks are carried out to ensure
that the equipment is qualified for production.
Advanced reporting and metrics for statistical analysis
The CANIAS ERP Maintenance module provides reports for
statistical analysis. These reports provide a chronological
listing of equipment malfunctions and maintenance activities.
Breakdown periods and related MTBF (Mean Time Between
Failures) values are computed. The following metrics are also
provided:
- Total Duration of Operation / Total Maintenance Cost
- Total Duration for All Maintenance Orders / Total Count of Maintenance Orders
- Total Duration for All Maintenance Orders / Total Duration for "Breakdown or Out of Order"
- Total Duration for Breakdowns / Total Duration for Production
Integrated maintenance, delivering efficient resource planning
Improvements in procurement process of equipment spare
parts leads to savings in purchasing costs. With the help of
the CANIAS ERP Maintenance Module, distribution of
maintenance costs, traditionally a difficult process, can now
be performed in a fair manner using such detailed criteria as
maintenance periods, costs, and the intervals between
maintenance activities. The CANIAS ERP Maintenance Module
enables customers with equipment-intensive production
processes to utilize their equipment in the most efficient and
productive manner possible, and allows them to maximize
their equipment capacity.
