Efficiently controlling procurement, stocking and warehousing functions
Procurement and efficient management made easy
Inventory management functionality within the scope
of an ERP system serves to provide enhanced
procurement capabilities, in addition to consolidating the
abilities of larger materials handling features. Efficiency in
procurement and warehouse management features are
of primary importance in the wake of ever existing
pressures exerted by rising raw material prices.
Ideally, efficient inventory management should be able to
rapidly respond to customer requirements; at the same
time should be flexible enough to undertake any
corrections when required, and do the so without
adversely affecting operational efficiencies. The CANIAS
ERP Inventory Management module offers effective
features to minimize warehousing costs and to optimize
storage needs in line with the requirements at hand.
Goods inwards and outwards automatically brought under control
Keeping in mind the end-to-end management features of
CANIAS ERP, the inventory management module offers a
host of advanced warehousing features such as
modification, balancing, transfer, and reverse operations.
Many features including management of multiple storage
centers and locations, specialized inventory management
features (serial numbers, batch tracking, and special
stock), which are part of a diverse capability in inventory
management, are included as standard functionality
within the CANIAS ERP Inventory Management module.
Inventory management within the CANIAS ERP system provides a high degree of flexibility for handling complex
storage needs, and assures continuous update of
warehouse inventory through multiple inventory methods
and different types of auditing. All materials input and
output transactions are fully automated due to the
seamless integration with other associated modules within
the system. This also enables efficient, prompt and
trouble-free inventory transactions within enterprises.
Inventory records from multiple warehouses within the
enterprise can be consolidated and evaluated with respect
to the transaction being executed. All transactions are
identified and documented per responsible personnel. Due
to the integration of the lot ID and serial number
attributes, materials transactions can be flawlessly traced
to their points of origin. These also allow for the handling
of the processes related to determining service warranty,
and tracking of expiration dates.
All transactions can be structured precisely per
requirements with the use of check tables. Check tables help to accurately maintain and designate all
material-related attributes such as warehouse, location,
pricing, packaging, and unit information. As found in other
modules within the system, powerful reporting capabilities
allow easy evaluation of all inventory related information.
The system also facilitates inventory count criteria and
update of stock based on the count results.
