History
Industrial Application Software GmbH was founded 1989 to provide
SAP consulting and software engineering. In 1993 IAS was launched,
our in-house developed standard application software for business
processing.
Beyond our sales activities our full-service portfolio for
IAS includes consulting, project management, software development
and training for middle-market companies.
Mission
Industrial Application Software GmbH delivers individual customer
solutions using highly efficient tools. All solutions are
based on open standards and are supported by our widely functional
application software. At the same time our goal is to provide
a stable and secure platform for our customers' business processes,
ready for all upcoming challenges.
Strategy
Nowadays there are massive changes in the area of IT and software.
Companies are driving towards the integration of business
and communication processes throughout all departments, based
on a central database. At the same time information needs
to be readily available both remotely by field staff and by
subsidiaries at home and abroad.
IAS has the technological advantage through a conceptual framework,
all to provide unlimited growth potential for our customers.
IAS offers with CANIAS, TROIA and with the state-of-the-art
integration - and communication concept TIP (Total Integrated
Planning) the tools for our mid-market customers to gain and

Constant Innovation Of Development
As one of the first standard solutions worldwide IAS was running
on the Windows platform and was independent of any database
type or operating system. The first launch of IAS already
included these attributes and targeted in the beginning manufacturing
industries. Not only is the application highly integrated
and flexible, it also provides an open system architecture.
While it supports even the most complex enterprise structures,
all important processes of all departments (sales, procurement,
material management, production and controlling) are included.
Our efforts in software development resulted not only in the
further development of the application itself but also evolved
into an Integrated Development Environment named TROIA. With
this Rapid-Development-Tool IAS offers customers the desired
flexibility and individuality on the highest level. TROIA
is of course included in the software package and can be used
by any of our licensed customers at full functionality.

Business growth
Despite the current difficult market situation and the resulting
price war IAS GmbH successfully grew throughout the last four
years. IAS GmbH is debt-free, financially independent and
has only little depreciation of assets. The key figure "EBIT",
which describes the profit before interest deduction and taxation,
rose steadily in the last few years:

Industrial Application Software GmbH aims at mid-market companies
with 50 to 500 employees per location. The number of companies
with in-house developed applications or even without any IT-solution
is higher in this market segment, compared to the one including
the 1000 largest companies.
In the past our sales efforts and the special knowledge of
our consulting staff pointed towards the manufacturing industries.
With our new CRM and Service modules we acquire customers
from new industries like retail and services. In these new
market segments IAS GmbH positioned itself instantly among
the 100 most important CRM solution providers.
Market Position
Challenging the competition
Industrial Application Software GmbH introduced with CANIAS
ERP one of the most technologically advanced ERP-solutions.
Today customers from nine different countries speaking six
different languages use the broad functionality of CANIAS.
Since the application is based on the JAVA-platform, both
the width and the depth of the application, together with
the financial accounting features, make CANIAS ERP a truly
unique ERP-solution on the market.
Although our current market position invokes direct competition
with the largest global players, we gain more and more market
share, mainly because of our extremely short development cycles.
Not considered as competitors are niche market players and
providers of heterogeneous solutions.
Technology for the pole position
We created with TROIA and the underlying object oriented technology
an excellent tool for speeding up the development cycles and
for creating individual customer solutions -faster than most
of our competitors. Thanks to the total integration of TROIA
into CANIAS ERP we reached in this market an unmatched flexibility
and individuality of our application, without sacrificing
the ability to update the underlying core application. Industrial
Application Software GmbH will not reached the limitations
of the market within the next few years, so our company is
expected to grow with an annual rate of approx. 30%.
