The "Respect for the Individual Awards" are given out in 26 separate categories based on the rate of responses that job applicants receive in return for their applications to job ads placed by businesses at Kariyer.net. This is the 6th time the awards have been handed out, and at the 12th Human Resources Summit conference sponsored by Kariyer.net, IAS was recognized in the IT category for Respect for the Individual, as well as for the Best Enterprise Ad Design. At the ceremony held at Lütfi Kırdar Conference and Exhibition Hall, IAS Human Resources Manager Serra Alkan and IAS Public Relations Director Oznur Tekiner accepted the awards for the IT category on behalf of IAS.
Alkan expressed that the award is significant in terms of setting an example for other firms, as well as for establishing respect for companies through the responses they provide to applicants with respect to their job applications. Alkan said that IAS had received the award for the previous year as well, and would strive for the same performance in the coming years.
Alkan also reflected on the human resources strategy of IAS for 2007 and mentioned that IAS workforce had increased by 35% in 2006 and that the company now has more than 100 empoyees.
Alkan said:
"We expect a 40% increase in head count for 2007. Most new hiring will be for our Software Development and Consulting departments. We plan to have all of our departments ready to accommodate continued growth in the company.
Alkan mentioned that IAS implements training to increase employee motivation and help the personal development of its staff, and that the company provides the conditions conducive to achieving maximum job satisfaction.
At the ceremony held on February 14 as part of the 12th Human Resources Summit conference sponsored by Kariyer.net, multiple businesses were recognized through awards for their commitment to respect for individuals. Kariyer.net aims to increase the rate of returns that businesses make to individuals who apply for jobs advertised through job ads at Kariyer.net web site.
